Directions
Step 1. Apply lipstick in the center of your upper lip and follow the contours of your mouth. Step 2. Glide the lipstick across the entire bottom lip.
This brand makes the BEST wand lipsticks (lasts forever), but I use this blue (and the light blue looks really awesome) as eyeliner (on the bottom lash line – zero smudge -just remove with baby oil or Vaseline, like the lipstick). I wish they’d come out with a green and black, so I could use them for my eyes too. I don’t know how I thought to do this, but it works great. I even swim with it on. So, I thought I’d share.
Excellent lipstick, apply it in the morning and stays all day. I remove when I come home from work.

It’s blue, mostly. It probably depends a lot on natural lip color, and I assume the blue won’t show up well on darker skin tones. It’s alright, but it’s worth noting that the blue looks more black in warmer lighting. Aside from that, it’s good. I love this lipstick line. It’s matte (when dry); it stays in place (it’s actually really hard to get off), and it smells AMAZING. I will note that it doesn’t stay well closer to the inner part of the lip, but blame your own saliva for that one.
One of the best black lipsticks I’ve ever used. The formula glides right on without issues and is buttery soft to spread across my lips. The color doesn’t need to be applied numerous times to get the full color coverage. In just one or 2 swipes the color is pigmented and ready to go. It does need a few minutes to dry in order to bring out the matte look but I’ve worn it for over 12 hours without any cracking or needing to reapply. Once it is on, you don’t have to worry and can go about your day. I don’t feel like I’m eating the color over time like other lipsticks make me feel. Definitely one of my go to lipstick brands/formulas. Love it so much I bought different shades in this line as well!
I love wearing lipstick 💄 but I’m definitely not the girl who carries make up everywhere. Most lipsticks need reapplying hence why I only wear matte lipstick.Not only do I love the look of matte lipstick but it’s stays on longer! For years I struggled tremendously with finding a matte lipstick 💄 that actually was not only matte but STAYED ON!The saddest part is that I’m a Charlotte Tilbury/Pat McGrath/high end make up person. So for years since I despise going shopping in person I bought lipstick after lipstick online from department store after department store. I spent a tremendous amount of money on lipsticks that I ended up giving away. I just am not a reapply after every sip of wine kinda gal.Then it happened… my husband put me on a budget, lol! As I was in a pharmacy store, waiting on a medication, walgreens to be exact. A lovely young lady approached me in the make up section and I asked her what is the most matte lipstick you have? She responded with this maybelline. I was beyond skeptical but bought a few and it literally blew my mind! It stayed on and stayed on! I could drink whatever I wanted there it was staring back at me in the mirror. At night removing my makeup 💄 there it was still there! I could be crazy sweating and it won’t budge. Yes I’ve had to reapply occasionally depending on what I was doing but only occasionally! I love this stuff! 😀 it’s the best cheapest matte lipstick ever.They have some new colors with new packaging out but those don’t work as well. Please don’t stop making the original blend. If your not into matte I have followed up my matte with gloss which looks sexy fantastic 😍I’ll never be in search of again! I’ve found ly true love in every color!
I’d previously ordered the deepest red color offered in Matte Ink (Voyager) and loved its seemingly infinite levels of smudge proof. Wanting to take that durability into my more gothic styles, I decided to try this out as the closest to black that was in stock. It is a very very deep sapphire blue that is easily mistaken for black; I think it goes on darker than the example photos. It does seem less opaque than the red Matte Ink (that goes on in one layer for me, this took two), but once on it is just as nigh-indestructible as the red. NOTHING except makeup remover seems to take this off. Zero transfer onto drinking glasses, cups, straws, utensils, or food. Even with food that was hot and/or greasy. No need for touch-ups at all throughout the day. It does have a slightly tacky “lipstick” feel on your lips (i.e. it doesn’t dry down to nothing like other brands of matte) but never rubs off like a regular lipstick would. I’ve been singing the praises of this brand to all my makeup-wearing friends. This is the best lipstick ever!
I love the color and it’s super easy to apply. Unfortunately it’s somewhat sticky, peels, smells strange, and transfers after drying. Difficult to fully remove
Love this shade. It’s the maybelline liquid matte in shade 110. I was skeptical about trying a straight purple shade but it actually suits me well and I get complimented on it all the time. I used to do a more maroon shade (112) before I tried this one and I haven’t gone back since. I love it!! If you’re afraid to try new shades just do it you never know how it might turn out and it could be your new favorite!
This line is dang near a 24 to 36 hour tattoo once it dries down. Unless you are majorly sucking face, it won’t come off and even then, your mouth will still be fully covered, your partner will just have a little on too. I put this on in the morning on Saturday and it stayed on THROUGH MY CLEANSING ROUTINE that night. This product laughed at soap and water. It stared blankly at micellar water on it’s own with a cotton pad but after about 20 minutes of a rough face towel, micellar water, a little soap and a ton of scrubbing, I finally had my natural lips back. Totally went back and bought 5 more colors.
