About Us
Necessity and inspiration spawned the creation of Juvia’s Place. Founder Chichi Eburu struggled to find makeup suited for her deep skin tone. What was available were muted colors, and products that didn’t enhance the true richness of her skin tone. She searched for years to find cosmetics that would enhance the dark hues of her skin tone without making her look lighter or grayer, makeup that offered colors that weren’t muted against her rich skin color.

I was sent the wrong color. I would have sent it back but the color compliments my skin tone. This company makes make-up for women of color. This is why these products are heavily pigmented. So women of lighter skin tones please do not complain. You can go in any store and there will be several make-up products for women of lighter shades. Women of color have few options. I thank Juvia for giving us a range of color. Black women come in several shades so trying to find your shade in products designed for women of European descent will be impossible. This is an excellent product I will purchase again.
Ordered the shade marigold and it looks beautiful on my skin. I applied half a dot and it covered my entire cheek and blended in so easy and seamlessly. I’ve used other very popular liquid blush brands and this blends better and lasts longer. Great product and size for the price, I will definitely be trying other shades.
Mom got this for me for my birthday, and I can’t stop using it! It has incredible pigment, that being said, a teeny bit goes a very long way, so I know it’ll last. I absolutely love this product!
I absolutely LOVE Juvia Places liquid blushes! They’re very pretty shades that come with it. I got Dahlia and for more brown skinned girls, the cherry red color pops wonderfully on my skin! For my heavy handed girlies, I suggest dabbing the product on the hand and using a brush to apply it on your cheeks. It prevents the blush from looking too harsh and avoids that “clown” look. It holds a lot of product and pigment, so a little goes a long way.
