Directions
Get the look: To define: Outline lips following their natural contour. To extend wear: Fill in lips entirely before applying lipcolor. Sharpens easily: Pull out sharpener from end of pencil. Twist pencil to expose fresh color. Insert in sharpener and turn gently.

Received old product, old design
UPDATE: Still my favorite lip liner. I should have been suspicious when I saw it priced at $1.99. I ordered 3. All 3 were in individual boxes and actually 2 are perfect. Smooth, beautiful color that lasts forever (I full in my whole lip and sometimes skip lipstick completely) However box #3 had the package but nothing in it. Seriously, how can this not be noticed? Thankfully Amazon has great customer service but I’ve had many problems ordering these over the years. I wear 3 or 4 different colors and have had many order problems. Check you orders carefully. I’m not sure if it’s multiple sellers or what the problem is. And be sure to open them all and make sure they aren’t missing the color completely (I received tubes with no lip liner) and that they aren’t old and dried out. Still got a great deal on 3 pink so I changed my 1 star to 3. The product itself, when not old or broken is 10 stars for me. The price is back up now. This is the only lip liner I wear because it literally stays on all day but I’m tired of the problems. Zero quality control.I have ordered this many times in Amazon and this last time received old product. The one in my photo on the right is the new design. The left is what I received today. You should receive what is in the photo. The new design has been around awhile and it’s all one color. If you receive pencil with black on it, it’s old. Ticked off. This is my favorite lip liner that I use daily. Soft and I do my entire lips with it. It lasts all day. But don’t scam me with product that is old and hard. This new design is soft and glides on. This time I got the old, hard pencil. Back to the drugstore. I don’t even think this one is real Revlon

Favorite lip liner ever
I have been using this same Revlon Colorstay lip liner in Mauve for over 15 years. Goes well with my Asian skin tone when I’m light during winter and tanned during summer. I’m both warm and neutral undertone with redness on my skin due to some type of rosacea (think constant Asian flush).I’ve tried recent newer beauty brands in similar color, however it’s more than double the price and the lasting power doesn’t compare. Terrible! It’s sad, they don’t make anything like they used to anymore these days. Anyways, I have oily skin but I put this on in the morning after my foundation, eat (with conscious effort not to completely wipe off my lip liner. Dab, don’t swipe), and as the day goes on it has a more ‘natural’ look. The pic is taken mid day after eating so it has that more natural look (my fav). The color is much more prominent when I first put it on.To me it has the perfect texture. Not too wet, not too dry. Glides on easily and it is ‘buildable’. I do notice though during summer when it’s hot, the lip liner tends to be softer and breaks off easily which is my only qualm but I love everything else about it so I won’t complain. If I can ever remember to pop it in the fridge for a few mins while I shower, maybe that might solve the breakage during summer. We’ll see.I’ve purchased this lip liner from this seller 16 times so far via Prime but as of today they do not offer prime shipping and it says only 5 left. I hope this is temporary… I will continue to purchase this on Amazon as long as they sell it.**UPDATE**I recently purchased this in single and a 2 pack different times and both were NOT the usual Revlon in mauve. When I took off the cap, the top half portion was black plastic instead of 1 solid color like it normally is. The color mauve was also a LOT darker than usual. WHAT HAPPENED??! I’m soo disappointed. I reordered again today 10/17, hoping the last 2 I ordered in the last few months was some type of..fluke? Error? Twilight zone moment?** UPDATE ** 10/25/26Ok the last 2 I reordered was back to the normal Revlon mauve. Thank goodness.

buying this Revlon ColorStay lip liner for years
I’ve been buying this Revlon ColorStay lip liner for years, and I absolutely love it! The Mauve shade is beautiful and easy to wear. One of my favorite things about this liner is that it doesn’t break easily, which is a big plus. It goes on nicely and is a reliable product that I keep coming back to. When you find something you love, there’s no reason to change! I highly recommend it.

This is my go to brand for lip liners. The colors are exactly what I was shown on the website, which pleasantly surprised me. The stain of it is pretty good, easy to blend in, and it feels lightweight and easy on the lips, but it doesn’t last as long as you’d like. It looks pretty, and it lasts a lot of uses. I put it on alone when I don’t want to wear anything and it looks natural. It’s very long and thin, slightly breakable but there’s plenty of product and it’s a good price so it’s good. No transfer as well.

Glides on, stays put, lasts, doesn’t feather out of where applied. The color range is perfect to line any shade lipstick in a complimentary way.I do wish there were some bright color option like fuchsia but there are shades that still work for bolder lipsticks.

Raisin Flatters Brown Skin Beautifully
I’ve repurchased this lip liner so many times because it just works. My favorite shade is Raisin! It is perfect for everyday work wear and goes with so many lip colors. I have brown skin with naturally pigmented lips, and this liner gives great coverage while defining my lips beautifully. It glides on smoothly, stays put for hours, and even after a full day of eating, I still have noticeable definition left. Even if my lipstick fades, the liner lasts much longer, which I love. If you’re looking for an affordable, long-lasting lip liner that performs well on pigmented lips, this one is definitely worth trying.

Doesn’t last very long.
I liked the mauve color and how it glided on and lasted but the stick breaks off very easily and it only lasted about a month because of the breaking and I don’t wear makeup every day. The length of the container leads you to believe there is a lot more lipliner in it. I will have to go with something else.
