I purchased this eyeliner with some reluctance because as I get older my hands are not so steady, and my eyelids not firm and young. Attempting to apply eyeliner has always been a bit of a challenge for me but now it is a task of the highest order, especially keeping it on my eyelid and not in my eyes or eyebrows.Let’s face it those crazy sayings or jingles we hear over and over will make a nest in our brains until one day a light in our brain clicks on and suddenly we realize that one of those weird sayings is true and applies to you! Yes! The day has arrived when that happens even more frequently-you know when it happens, the light goes on and finally you’re one of “those” people.Back to the eyeliner, after hours and hours of living at Amazon, I finally saw a photo of NYX liquid eyeliner that intrigued me. I’m easily intrigued with simple things but this is the deal, the brush used to apply the eyeliner was tiny-very tiny, and I didn’t pay much more attention to the ad than that. I though to myself that if the brush was so tiny and skinny I just might be able to apply part of the eyeliner where it needed to go without so many variations o coloring outside the lines-you know the deal, a little on the eyelids, some in the eye, and let’s not forget the eyebrow and perhaps the nose and yep-I am out of Q-tips and I am beginning to look more like Natasha of Boris and Natasha and you know the rest-should have bought those Q-Tips!I was and still am absolutely mystified just how perfectly that little brush worked! The eyeliner stayed within the appropriate places, no Q-tips needed-not a single one! The liner dried quickly, no smears, or crooked lines, and the best thing about it was that the color lasted 2-3 days. No flaking, smears, dark shadows under the eyes or in the corner of my nose!Why I ask you, has it taken so long for someone to come up with the simple but elusive perfection of such a seemingly simple task? Voila! Finally NYX Cosmetics gest it right, a little tiny pointed brush simply did the trick without bands playing, and funky stuff flying through the air and in everybody’s face and hair? It matters not, cause now you can try this magic NYX it works gratis the brilliant brush! The eyeliner worked too-imagine?

Still the best eyeliner I’ve ever used. Lasts SO long, I put some on around 8am and throughout work, a hot yoga class, and a shower afterward, it’s still clearly visible on my eyes. The only drawback is that it’s a thick formula, and when you’re putting it on, it can get on your eyelashes, making applying mascara difficult. But I use eyeliner only, no mascara, or I apply this after mascara, and it’s the best.

So I have mixed feelings about this eyeliner. First things first, the actual eyeliner is without reservation the best, longest lasting liquid eyeliner I’ve tried. My sister is a professional makeup artist and I was having issues with my eyeliner smudging into my eye crease. She got me every type of medium (gel, the type you apply with an angled brush, liquid liner, pencils), $60 eyeliner and celebrity brands and cult favorites, and this eyeliner outlasts them all.But it’s not perfect. The applicator takes some getting used to – the formula is thicker than you think, so if you just pull it out and straight to your skin, you’re going to get glops and it’s going to take forever to dry and may even flake if you put too much on. I always have to give it a swipe on the edge of the container to get a perfect, skinny applicator that doesn’t goop and can draw a perfect line.But then that means over time, it develops this gross crust on the inside edge of the eyeliner. It probably wastes a lot of product. The actual liquid gets thicker and thicker with time the more you use it too, so the issue just compounds the more you use it. I love the formula. I just wish that they could figure out a better container/applicator or even thin out the formula a little.For me, it comes off pretty easily with my normal facewash (Cetaphil gentle).

I put this eyeliner on at 10am and went out&about! I took this picture at about 11pm and I was so impressed. It really stayed on so well. I’m so happy I found this because i was so tired of the more expensive brands smudging so easily. I worked at sephora for years and none of the eyeliners there impressed me as much as this one!! Worth the money. Even if this eyeliner was $30 i would still buy it!

Gave this one a try since I use the NYX eyeliner pencils. The applicator is small and thin, so I thought it’d be great.Well, I’m rusty at liquid makeup, so after a mistake, I tried wiping it off. It wouldn’t come off. Hardly smeared when using makeup remover wipes. Once this stuff dries, it’s on for a long time. So if you need something that will survive the apocalypse, try it.
